TEHRAN (ISNA)-Imam Moussa Sadr's daughter Houra Sadr expressed hope recent situation in Libya would lead to his father's release.
"We have believed for years that Imam Moussa Sadr has been alive and we hope that new situation in Libya will result to his freedom," she told ISNA concerning recent news released from Libya that her father is alive.
As to reports on formation of a delegation to welcome Imam Moussa Sadr in Lebanon, she said, "nowadays, some news is released and rejected further, but the most important issue is that he could return soon."
Also a Libyan opposition member has claimed recently that Imam Moussa Sadr is alive and is held in a prison in south of the African country.
The influential Shiite cleric and founder of Lebanon’s Amal was disappeared in Libya after a meeting with President Muammar Gadhafi' in August 1978. Ties between Libya and Lebanon have been frosty ever since his disappearance.
